Today I start directly with the question:
ARE YOU READY FOR RADICAL CHANGE?
Why am I asking this of all questions?
I have often struggled, not only artistically, with the fear of living my dreams. And whether I have the strength needed to give in to them.
And I’m sure you have experienced this as well.
To keep running day after day, in a frantic flight forward. Too often I have preferred security, often leaving my dreams to the side.
I have dealt with this in my work Rising Up in the form of a self-portrait:
I used to have trouble to break out of this pigeonhole that society put us in and to realize that there are no rules when it comes to building your own identity.
In the portrait, the tendrils of ivy embody the breaking out of that:
They cling without being fixed, able to let go at any time and find new ways to move forward without being constricted.
AN URGE TO EXPRESS MYSELF JUST BECOME GREATER THAN THE FEAR OF INEFFECTIVENESS.
For at some point the questions in my head became louder and louder:
Who would I be without my dreams? What if I make them come true and pursue what fulfills me…?
And then I simply dared it: The leap out of this fear!!!
Today I dare to reach for the heights, like the tendrils of the ivy in the picture.
You can always let go of the old, which is embodied by skulls, and find new ways to move forward.
You can also see this in another detail: the tree of life. For me, it unites the ability to not let myself be limited and to see outside the box:
I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my self-portrait and you take away for yourself that you too possess this strength to achieve everything you set your mind to.
What symbols do you have to remind yourself every day? Feel free to answer me on this mail!
When I choose which pictures to hang in my home, I always choose first the works that speak directly from my heart.
They remind me of important moments in my life, moments when I felt that my soul was fully expressed through art – when I felt that I could connect with life.
You too can find the image that touches your innermost!
Therefore, use this inspiration, leave the old behind you to be the best version of yourself and
RAISE YOURSELF!
Drak greetings and until next time.
“Love Yourself In Your Darkness!
